Izšūtā brīvība: “Framed in Belarus” projekts / Stitched Freedom: “Framed in Belarus” Project
// LV //
1. un 2. oktobrī no plkst. 14.00 aicinām uz izšūšanas darbnīcu "Izšūtā brīvība: "Framed in Belarus" projekts", ko vadīs mākslinieču apvienība "Stitchit" – Rufina Bazlova no Baltkrievijas un Sofia Točara no Moldovas.

Kur?

// ENG //
On the 1st and 2nd of October at 2 pm EET you are invited to participate in a stitching workshop "Stitched Freedom: "Framed in Belarus" project" led by art group "Stitchit" – artists Rufina Bazlova from Belarus and Sofia Tocar from Moldova.

Where? At the venue of Survival Kit 13, Pils 23, Riga

The aim of the #FramedinBelarus project is to tell about each wrongfully convicted citizen of Belarus and create their stories using the traditional Belarusian technique of embroidery with red thread on a white background, and as a result to fix an important age of the Belarusian history in a (inter)national folk work. By participating in the workshop you will be able to join the on-going project and become a part of the art solidarity community.
The participants of the workshop will be taught the first steps in working with scheme and stitching. Don’t be afraid if you have no experience with cross stitching before.

The workshop is free of charge (with a valid entrance ticket to the exhibition) and will be held in English.
All materials will be provided.
